Lost Love

You hit her again, and I look

not knowing what to do

Is it because I don't know?

Or because I know she'll just choose you.

You hit her, and you hurt her,

and I stand by and watch.

I know that tomorrow you'll apologize,

and next time you hit her, you'll take it up a notch.

She'll tell herself its over,

and that you won't do it again

because you are her lover,

and her longtime friend.

what she doesn't realize, is that everything comes to an end.

there's just somethings that we can't amend.
