Lost in Hope
Dark clouds were once my pupils,
Except it only rains as I was hurting,
From my frustration,
My sorrow,
And my lack of faith,
I begged for salvation,
As the blazing inferno,
Engulfed my broken being,
But, through the bitter, chalky ashes,
I spotted a branch and a naked tree,
Like a blank canvas,
I became one with an artist,
And marked my voice,
With the words I've concealed,
For so many years,
Inspiration had found me,
