Longing for Springtime

In the depths of Tarturus, we long for spring time.
There is no spring here, in the world we live.
We are surrounded by Evil.
By Hatred.

We still wonder how we came to be here. We know.
We allowed all of our differences to
separate us, to divide Us.
Consume us.

If we could change our Fateless paths, we would. We could
feel the sweet scents of springtime all around.
The tender touch of hand in hand.
Together.

In our spring, we are distinct. Our features differ
from that of the other man. But
We never notice. We don’t care.
We’re human.

This world of spring, of change, is what we need to live.
A world where we can love, and learn to give.
The flowers bloom with kind. We see
A changed world.

This poem reflects my belief and my desire for how the world should be changed. We live in a world where difference inspire hatred and discrimination. We may look differently, dress diffrently, speak differently, but regardless of our cultural background,  we are all human. We are individuals that deserve to be treated with respect and dignity.

I long for this springtime, and maybe if enough of us long for it too, it will become our reality.
