Long Sleeve Love

She confesses her love

               And covers her mouth

Just to make sure

                            The snake won't slip out

       She embraces the change

                   And tugs on her sleeves

And when she looks

                                        Down

               The cut opens and bleeds.

                                                                                            -c.a.
