Being alone at night,

One day i found my knight.

Sharing emotions and being talkative,

I found him being very positive.

Not only about how I felt,

But how he made me melt.

I felt loved and cared for,

But what i loved the most was that I didn’t feel lonely anymore.

 

He would share all his stories,

About his exes but he told me not to worry.

After time passed by we sealed the deal,

And after being on the phone we made a contract with a seal.

That I would be loved no matter what,

Even though I’m a pain in the butt.

I get mad and he talked,

To fix the problems that were brought.

Even though I know he has pride,

He wouldn’t just let me go and hide.

I asked why he would apologize,

He said “because I love you till the day I die.”

 

Even though my self-esteem was low,

He would always tell me how much I glow.

Radiance and beauty is what he would say,

Just to keep me with a smile everyday.

Even though I don’t think I look the best,

His words made me put those thoughts to rest.

He was my confidence builder,

No matter what I felt he was knight and hero.

After our sleepless nights on the phone,

His voice had an irresistible tone.

 

The words “because I love you” were never misused,

He always made me feel amused.

Nowadays guys use it for a lay,

That’s why they can’t hold a relationship for more than a day.

To pressure and have fake love,

And from hate, disappointment and lack of trust they get all of the above.

After being so lonely maybe they’ll get a clue,

And have them put their actions into review.

His love for me was never fake,

And he put all he had at stake.

Now I’m gonna come to an end,

And talk about how he is just my best friend.

We did all that we could but my situation changed,

And my mother made us rearrange.

But now he says he is willing to wait ,

Because he loves me still to this date.

 

Even though we are just friends,

We still have those long nights of talking and that will never end.
