The Long Lost Dream

We all walk alone

With nothing but natural beauty to behold

But some of us want something more

An eager itch that burns and burns

A desperate need to change the worlds

A calling from higher up that captures hearts

Tearing apart what once was known with jagged shards

We all walk alone

With nothing but love to hold

But some of us want something more

An inescapable prison of the mind

A deliberate need to find the light

A scream so loud and clear to all

It begs to be set free once and for all

We All walk alone

With a joyous and purified home

But some of us want nothing more

Than that dream that steals our minds

We have everything but strife

Yet we want the one thing we can't control,

We want the dreams we can never hold.
