At an early age we are tought that

the U.S. is a utopia, and education is a blessing

but a question still remains.......

Why are we still being held at the reins by our society,

shoved low to the ground instead of being held high and mighty

Why are we being held at bay by racism, prejudice, bigotry, and hate

when we could just stop the hate and come together like the union of our fifty states.

Why are highschool dropout rates now at an all time high,

but the people who dropped out are complaining about their lives that are passing them by?

Ironic isn't it ?

Why are blacks and latinos still being the main victims of the false imprisonment

on top of all of that, when they get out, they're going to be filled with even more resentment.

What ever happened to the morals that helped found this country we live in today?

What ever happened to the morals that made the man of the house and

 father of his child stay?

Why are people in America still homeless and starving

when the American government has more than enough money to buy, ammunition, drones,

and other war machines.

Why is america at a moments notice ready to fight over oil on another country's soil,

but not ready to solve their own problems of poverty and turmoil?

Meanwhile our men and women are closing their caskets as they march into the

battle field armed and ready to fight,

but still not ready to die.

Why is America held up on such a high platform

but by other countries still being out performed.

These are the questions that lurk in my brain at night,

not who viewed my pic on instagram and refused to like.
