A little view of hidden treasure

Matthew 18:2-3 New English Translation (NET Bible)

2 He called a child, had him stand among them, 3 and said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn around and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven!

A small hand reaching out, quickly than to be filled

How long will it last this gift of Holiness?

A happy face for a moment and then just despair

Again disappointment cries, drawing to loneliness

There is enough to go around, but what is this substance

Philosophy blows empty words to cover "whited" walls

Open hearts upon their knees, bowing now in trance

Before the minds of others who don’t know after all?

Circles appear in the sand, like footsteps following others

Heads bowed down in a store searching for something new

Afraid to touch the ordinary person who has all the answers

I believe in unconditional love set aside for the chosen few
