The Little Siren

She always looked to the surface to see boats pass by.

She claimed her love for humans is mere curiosity,

Her father knew that this was an obsession.

He warned her to never go to the surface,

She never listened to her father.

Her songs were sweet,

Her voice was like an angel.

Her melodies were hypnotic,

Her lyrics were perfection.

No one could resist the sound of her voice.

She decided she wanted a human as her own.

She swam to a rock on the surface,

She sat and sung her song.

A Ship heard her beautiful voice,

They set their course to her.

A prince fell in love with her,

He couldn’t resist the sound of her voice.

He jumped in to be with her,

She finally had a human of her own.

Who can resist a sirens song?
