Little changes

Tue, 12/21/2021 - 13:23 -- rexiusm

So long it's been
Left forgotten,
But still remembered
Now I return to an old home,
Looking at the memories in the rooms
Carved on the walls, buried in floorboards

The place has changed as have I
More comfortable in my skin but not my mind
But I see the small changes in myself I didn't recognize before
Step by step I make it
Day by day
One foot in front of the other
And those steps lead me back here
My old home

Don't forget that you change to
You just don't see it, they are small
But they are still there, so keep going
Be you, one step at a time
