Listening

Listening

I lie on the ground from discomfort,

Sound plays in the background, I listen,

Then standing I follow it, leading me to a device.

This box played sounds from multiple artists,

The sounds are a cheer to my ear, I listen

I plug in to listen and discomfort has left as I am reborn with glee.

I play it in times of sadness and freedom,

Never have I been in doubt with it, I listen

Others suggest more but I cannot spread

So calm and rushing the sounds can be,

They move many what life might throw down,

I realize the device has reached its limit to be alive

I settle down allowing the device to recharge

Beginning to wait and listen once again,

On this stage of discomfort I lie, and I listen .
