Listen to Your Heart
Location
When I feel like I am just playing the part,
I turn and listen to the rhythym of my heart.
Each beat lets me know I am still alive,
Every day I have a reason to strive.
Life has a terrible beauty,
Full of what-ifs and could-bes.
Memories are gifts of the past,
I never know which moments will last.
People come and people go,
Just like the tide's ebb and flow.
A precious few will leave their gift,
The sweet ache of an unhealing rift.
I would not trade my bittersweet melody,
For any other symphony.
My life is mine alone to live,
And my heart is mine alone to give.
