listen to nature
The wind is softly blowing,
the chill is running deep.
The cold is slowly growing,
so that you can't feel your feet.
The weather is constantly changing,
getting colder by the day.
The colors are always ranging,
from dark to lighter gray.
The leaves have fully died,
leaving the trees all but bare.
I know that it tried,
but it couldn't keep everything there.
The rain is getting more painful,
hitting skin like sharp blades.
And once the grass is rainful,
it runs the streets in giant waves.
The noises of nature are harsh,
the wind howling like a dog.
The world is feeling like a marsh,
covered in a thickened fog.
Everything is covered in frost,
dewed over manicured lawns.
The flowers are dead and lost,
no longer singing their songs.
The bees are no longer flying,
they've gone home to hide.
The bugs are no longer trying,
to bite and hitch a ride.
Yes, Winter can be fun, but remember what would happen if it stayed.
