light skin, dark skin
I'm against my people, but my people are against me
They look me into my eyes, but skin pigment is all they see
Light skin, dark skin as if we aren't allnblack
We are suppose to be unified, but unity is what we lack
We still have ideas that the white man is superior
We try to match them, because we feel our skin is inferior
But what I don't understand is why we choose to be blind
Caramel, cocoa, or chocolate our color is devine
