A Life worth Living
They say who you are
Depends on what makes you tick
But they’re wrong
It’s not what makes you tick
But Who
While a watch passively marks
The passage of time as it goes by
God – who made time
Keeps track of the time He’s given us
And how we have made use of it
You see the deathbed is not just where we die
It’s our deadline
The moment when all of our years are up
The moment when we have no more chances
To prove that the life God gave us was worth living
We all will die – that much is certain
But instead of depressing myself with macabre thoughts
I think of it as a way of making the life I have more meaningful
Because if I could look at my life from start to finish
I would want to say, “My life was worthwhile”
