Life Taught In Lessons

You came into my life at the point in time

When I needed a teacher,

Someone to instruct me on fingering and bowing

Little did I know how much more you would bring.

You saw the talent no one else did,

A potential, undiscovered and doubted

With time, patience, and practice

The skill became apparent.

And I learned to work out one problem at a time

The correction of details added to the beauty of music.

And the passion for this beauty took hold of me.

You taught me to believe in myself

To strive for my dreams,

And that hardwork is necessary.

For these life lessons,

Thank You.
