Life of Mourning

The flash of light, the loud boom

is all showing that we are in our doom.

Hidden by day, moving at night

To make sure we are always out of sight.

Why, oh why did I have to be born

in a day where the world is torn

apart from morals, kindness, and love,

When all I can do is pray above?

To the God that I know is there

but is not at work anywhere.

Am I just blind to His work?

Or is He waiting with a smirk?

Until the day that we are all set free

From this terrible life we aim to flee.

He does have plans to help us so,

Or else the devil has won the show.
