Life Jacket

shackles and chains and being tied up in you

wrists glowing crimson like the sunset

on an ocean of razor blades, the ones you dropped in there

before i began to swim

drowning in sharp metal

the sharks swimming around me

caught up in the whirlpool of your issues

spun into your insecurities

trying to break free

but you tied me to the sinking ship

and made sure

if you went down

i went down with you.
