The life I live ...

Job 13:16

16 He also shall be my salvation,
For a hypocrite could not come before Him.

The life I live

Photographic memory for the sins I have

never seem to have trouble to remember them.

Don’t have to invent new ones on the run

for they come automatically from a supply that never ends.

Suckered into loneliness in the middle of a crowd

with noises all around me in the stillness of the night

Many screams are muffled by the cause of desperation

bouncing of the walls of indifference inside.

Selective hearing now in place grabbing what I want to know.

Other people’s misery I let slip down the drain.

I know I am all wet from the showers of blessing

still I have nothing to give in my hunger for selfish gain.

Embarrassing my estate but I hide it well from others.

All they see is glitter of my diamond like appeal.

Yes it is a marvel that I have so many facets

but the life I live ... is far removed from the real.
