For This Is the Life I Do Not Wish to Acquire

A girl sits beside her mother wondering where her happiness lies

Could it be within her bosom with her many guys?

Used, abused, confused, and lewd

Money gave her a new attitude.

Dreams live inside the girl

For one day she dreamed she ruled the world.

A passion for living a better life than what her mother provided

Had resided in the young girls eyes as her mom remained one sided.

The girl dreaded the day the storm brought death upon her mother

For she would always hope her dreams could help lead to the life of another.

The girl could never be the hero that her mother needed

No matter how hard she cried or pleaded.

The girl vowed to never acquire this life of pain

Filled with sad memories and content ones taken in vain.

My wish for her is to live on, for even though life is full of spite

The value of the lessons learned concludes why it's called life.

In the end we must all carry unspeakable burdens

That may some day come to an abrupt end.
