LETTING GO

I’ve been through a lot lately.

Most of it has been so big and painful.

But today I’m letting go,

I’ve felt anguish so great that when I look back I feel like putting a bullet through a certain someone.

Time sometimes makes our life seem like a metamorphic rock,

One shaped by all the hurtful variables we resent.

It’s like being asked eat a hot bowl of gravy with nothing but a fork.

It’s that challenging complication,

One specifically designed and sown to reap pure failure’

A test of strength, stability agility in both our broken past and present.

It’s the reason why they say life’s not the faint of heart.

Yes I admit I’ve been through a lot of pain and I’ve been hurt a lot setbacks,

Back I’m letting it all go,

And in case you’re rejoicing to those best bare in my mind I’m still chasing the same dream.

I said am letting go not holding on but while we’re on that that moment of vertigo,

Please note I’ve also decided to forgive but not forget.

To realize my dream and not wallow in depression and regret.

Yes I’m letting it go, and there’s no time for you and me  to hold a debate.

Allow to let go and change my fate for the better,

I care not how big the mess I made last time I chased my dream.

But I’m letting all go,

-Emmanuel Rayan Daka (Le Red InkHeart)
