Let's address something

Location

I am not a carbon copy of anyone or anything

I am not your rag to use until your mess has all been cleaned

I am not the nervousness that hits me when I'm asked to speak

I am me and you are you- what other answer can you seek?

Give up the act, take off the plaster you've pressed onto your face

Your life is here, it's happening now, things have always been in place

Open your mind, lower your chin, go somewhere before you root

Let me dream big and let the choice be yours if you wish to follow suit.

Let's accept the fact that we will never be what we see on TV

Imperfections are the best way to determine true quality

The golden rule doesn't apply for you, I know I'd be derailed

if for one moment you treated me like how you treat yourself

The voices in your head that tell you that you'll never be enough

well they're fake, my friend, they're holding you with manufactured cuffs

autographed by the fear you create, the demons you carefully placed

The fear in your heart will be the hardest thing you'll ever face

I am not the monsters lurking in my left side brain

And you are not your habits, your genes, nor your pain

I am me and you are you, and that's all there is to say

Pull back the curtain and accept that who you are is perfectly okay
