Let us clasp our hands in Prayer
Where clouds drift
in silene across blue skies;
where sun spreads beaming light
over mountains yonder far;
where chidren cry in hunger
their thirst scorched as dry bones;
where Nirbhayas of our world
stay undaunted
like embeded rocks on a hill top
to protect their dignity and decency -
let us clasp our hands in prayer
bow our heads
in abeyance to the heavens
ask of Him
to unshackle ourl lives
from thistles and thorns
that we may light a torch
of acumen
in readiness
to heal our wounds.
