Let my voice be heard

Let my voice be heard

From the streets in the city to the hallways of schools

My voice was taken away and my vision was blurred

While I was living in my imaginary land of fools

Trust took my voice away

My heart was stabbed and beaten till blue

But I took the beatings anyway

Just to be next to you

You made your point

I am nothing to you

As you roll your joint

I am through

I am through with your judgment

Your lack of sympathy

Your corrupted soul

And lack of empathy

My voice was heard

My voice shattered glass

Every moment with you interred

No more of this impasse

My voice will be heard

In your mind at night

My words gird your mind

Causing a frenzied fright
