Take up the pen

Let it all flow

The worries, stress, pent up thoughts,

just let it all go

I just need to feel this.

This escape from reality

To a world where everything's possible

And dreams do come true in the finality

Who wouldn't want to find this place?

Where no one judges, pressures, or tells me what I'm doing wrong.

How I wish everyone could see this

A place where everyone and everything can belong

The ink blossoms and grows

No end in sight

I'm in control,

At peace, happy, filled with joy

My smile continues to grow with each word that appears

On this wonderful little sheet of paper

The hidden, imaginative story of my life

I write for an escape

But is that all?

I want others to know

They aren't alone

People understand, people support them, they have reason to stand tall

I want my message to be heard by everyone who needs

Someone who will understand them someone who will lead

Them out of the darkness and into the light

So I put down my pen

As another poem finds its end

Hoping you see my reason and one day

Helping me get it out for everyone to hear what I've got to say

So unleash what's inside
