Let the Flame Burn Bright

Foundation, bronzer, and then eye make-up?

No, concealer first.

Cheeks are huge, contour them.

No bronzer ever.

I look in the mirror

That’s not me.

The alien attempting to achieve perfection

Blonde haired

Artificial dyes to make it beautiful

Blue eyes

Highlighted with a mix of powders

Rosy cheeks

Courtesy of more powder

Pale, perfect skin

Any imperfection concealed

Not one pimple

Not one hair out of place

Outfit doesn’t work?

Fix it

Make it perfect

Why do we all need to be so perfect?

Who are we trying to impress?

All these layers of make-up are a filter

I dare everyone

Remove it for one week

No make up for one week

No filters, not on SnapChat, not on Instagram

For one whole week

Think you can manage?

Natural beauty, a beautiful fiery thing.

Let it burn bright.
