Let the Caged Birds Fly Free

Location

If I could change one thing in the world,

If it were up to me,

I would change the way kids are taught

In our public schools

I would make students see,

That learning is so much more,

Than writing long papers,

And solving problems on a chalkboard.

The mind is a piece of wood,

Education is the spark,

That lights a warm fire,

That will continue to burn for life.

I would let students explore,

Learn about what they love,

Set the caged birds free,

Watch them soar high above.

If I could change one thing,

Anything at all,

I would sow the seed of knowledge,

And watch it grow.
