Legal Sedation

My teacher likes to pick on me...

"I think your child has ADD"

This lesson is so boring...

"Your child was in class snoring"

Wow, I'm so hungry...

I'd even settle for the lunchroom slime...

"He's constantly asking if it's lunch time"

Eww, I kinda smell,

Maybe I should take a bath...

"He's always daydreaming during math"

I wish my teacher would just let me be...

"I'm considering having him removed from class"

"Do you understand my frustration?!?"

"Have you considered medicatiton?"

"Here, I have a few recommendations"

Someone please, object for me...

I don't need drugs to cure a disease...

Please, oh please! Don't try to change me...

As an educator it is disheartening how many of our student today are being place on medication. And even worse how many educators are advocated of the sedation of our children. Often times it just takes a little extra effort on our (the teachers) part to avoid this completely. I've watched lively bright eyed children be turned into drug induced zombies by the request of their teachers. PARENTS: You are your childs biggest advocate. If someone doesn't want your brilliant child, guess what? They don't deserve them. Don't allow anyone (teachers, counselors, friends, family, etc.) to destroy your child simply because it is more convenient to them.
