Leaving

Fri, 01/10/2014 - 14:25 -- Sence

Leaving Home is easier than you might think

You pack your belongings and say your goodbyes

Then you get in your and drive.

It's the not looking back that makes it hard

Trying to forget once it's all over

It's the moving that that trips you up

You try and look forward, but something tuggs you back

Leaving is easy, it's staying that's hard

Trying to hold onto a past that no longer exists

But acting as if it still does

When we were little and dreaming of all the things we could do once childhood was behind us

We never thought of all the things we would be leaving behind

Our innocence and creativity

For cars and complicatied relationships

Leaving is easy, It's the looking back that's hard
