Learning Love

Location

Walking down an empty road

Passing places once called home,

Silence echoes in the air

Amongst the mist I roam.

Drifting like a flightless kite,

Submersed in dark without a light,

Losing the strength and will to fight,

I Write.

Like connecting with ancestral kin,

A dam that’s let the water in,

Stars glow from the dark I’m in,

And now to end is to begin.

Connect with me, I’ll bare my soul

And show you how I became whole—

I’ll show you how I learned to love

From the ancient art of quill and scroll.
