Lead Me, Guide Me, Walk Beside Me, Let Me Choose What I Want To Do

I don't care you're not the same as me
You don't care I'm not the same as you
Why is that so hard for them to see?
They always talk but never do

They say I have a choice
and I should be open with what's out there
So how come I don't have a voice
and when it comes you they refuse to share?

They warned me about people like you
and taught me it was wrong
But you taught me it's who you are not what you do
People like you are the ones who made me strong

They're the ones who keep me tied down
you and all the others show me what it's like to be free
in their sea of rules and prejudice I'm about to drown.
With you I don't just want to live I want to be.
