Last Night I Watched The Clouds Go By

Last night I watched the clouds go by. It was 1AM in Alaska so there was still lots of light. I sat and watched as they slowly scuttled across the sky, neither trying to impose upon the other. All lined up in a row like they were headed to some secret cloud-like place that only they knew about. Then I saw the tree tops shift in the wind. As the trees shifted they made a rustling noise, Nature’s music it seemed. So as I sat watching the clouds go by I saw the tree tops shift in the wind and just after that a cool breeze blew into the window. I took a deep breath, I smiled and I thought of you.

Simplicity at it’s best.
