Language of Love

I thought it was so romatic that you told me to take french class with you,

Because I love you.

I felt captivated by your charm and humor.

I stayed up later than usual to talk to you on the phone.

Because I love you I didn't mind the persistence of promiscuous acts at a young age.

Becaue I love you I did'nt mind you bragging and I ignored the names people called me when I walked through school,

I didn't mind the erosion of my self-worth,

I didn't care about my loss in friends and self-esteem,

Because I love you.

Because I love you, it didn't occure to me to care about school,

I didn't care about the other girls you slept with and told me about because you knew I wouldn't do anything,

Because I love you.

I had no self-worth so I asked for distance,

You made me feel like compassion and manipulation were interchangeable.

Because I love you, I thought sending me hate messages and suicidal instructions,

Were a signof endearment and that you still cared.

I took your advice and tried,

Because I love you,

I thought it was so romatic that you told me to take french class with you,

Because I love you.
