The Land of The Free

Nothing is free in the land of the free.

We criticize world governments for the way they treat their citizens, yet the top 1% of Americans hold 35% of our wealth.

We harass our hungry for holding signs in the streets while we chase terrorists in other countries.

Why aren’t we concerned about the terrorism in the stomachs of our impoverished youth?

Nothing is free in the land of the free.

Our teachers are expected to be babysitters, counselors, and also teach.

They support children, protect children, and love children for 30,000 dollars a year.

Our NFL players who often owe their success to the extra hours put in by a teacher, the support of a teacher, the love of a teacher, make 300,000 each year.

Why are we so reluctant to agree to tax hikes, but will gladly pay for increasing season ticket prices?

Nothing is free in the land of the free.

The standard in America is that you have to have a degree before you can have a good paying job.

The average American can’t afford college.

The average cost to receive a 4-year degree in America is $30,000.

The average cost to receive a 4-year degree in Germany is  $0

The average cost to receive a 4-year degree in Denmark is $0

The average cost to receive a PhD in Brazil is $0

Why are the rich getting richer in this country?
