Kid, You Should Know

Fri, 06/28/2019 - 00:09 -- mvnqwl

I realized I wasn't a kid no more
at the age of 10.
I started living alone
Not because I had no parents
but because they were never home,
where I am And even when they were home,
time was never taken
to really get to know me
or take care of a child Nevertheless, they were controlling.
Every decision, every action
like a marionnette, certainly not a kid. But boy you should know,
your future is in your hands
Not in any others.
And keeping a light heart is more forgiving
in the future.
But most importantly,
Live for yourself to live for others.

This poem is about:
My family
