As a kid I thought
As a kid I thought the world was in my hands,
But after this disaster I had no where to land.
I took advantage of life,
But little did I know my father could easily lose his life.
Now don't fret for too long, he still lives on.
But in these moments I realized that I had been wrong.
See I believed that my parents would be here forever,
but after many hospitals visits, I knew better.
So now I live everyday as if it were my last.
I pray and believe that what I have will stay intact.
What one should learn from this is that tomorrow isn't promised.
So text your mom, call your dad, check up on them like you had promised.
