And I dream

I am not what anyone expects of me

I am beautiful

And strong

I will always stand tall

You can say what you want,

What you think

That is just fine with me

I am covered in abrasions and lacerations

As well as admiration and confirmation

That I am who I am

And I will forever change

Because I grow and you won’t

You will forever be the same

I am flawlessly flawed

And my scars will never fade

But that is only because

They made me who I am today
