I love the way your weight feels when you lean on me;

And when you twitch,

And when you cry,

I'll hold you close,

And stay awake,

To kiss your head & protect you from your monsters.

They say you're different, they say you're weird,

They warn me that I should be scared;

But to me you're normal,

To me you're fine.

I don't know why they can't see what lies behind.

She says I've changed you into someone she knows,

But you've always been you;

I wouldn't change you if I could,

I wouldn't have you any other way.

You're a beautiful creature,

And in my arms

I hope you'll stay.
