The Kaffeeklatch

It's 9AM on a Monday.

The Grey haired seniors gather at the same ol' coffee shop,

wearing their varied camouflage, sports, and veterans hats.

They pour a cup of java...another morning of news to swap.

“There's been another school shooting!”

“A northeaster is headed our way!”

“Did you hear? Charlottetown Virginia had more riots and looting!”

“Let me tell you why the cost of prescriptions has gone up this year!”

The laughter diminishes. The arguing intensifies!

They continue bending each others ear.”

It's 9AM on a Tuesday. The Grey haired seniors gather at the same ol' coffee shop.

Wearing their varied camouflaged, sport, and veteran's hats.

They pour a cup of java...another morning of news to swap.

“Congress is stripping a Trillion Dollars from Medicaid!”

“We're only getting a 0.3% raise on our Social Security check this year!”

“Choice diet for me today: coffee, broth, jello, or Gatorade.”

It's 9AM on a Wednesday...
