Joel 1:12

12 The vine has dried up;
the fig tree languishes—
the pomegranate, date, and apple as well.
In fact, all the trees of the field have dried up.
Indeed, the joy of the people has dried up!

Just Remember

Get it out, let it flow, the paper is still empty

Pour it down, get rid of it, and throw it from your heart

The few you know, keep them close, they are the family

And about the rest, do your best with your apple card

The church is God’s, or it used to be, or maybe I can’t see

Maybe it consists of just the ones who focus elsewhere

If that is to be true then the true church can only be

Far beyond the flesh’s reason in its own special sphere

“Narrow the path and few that find it” written in blood

Far beyond the human reason and its beguiled emotion

Only to be found by some who truly search for good

The elected and the chosen, the prepared for God’s Salvation

A gift from the Father to the Son a special treasure

Whatever the Father gives surely has great value

So it is what the Father sees in them, in God’s measure

That separates the sheep from goats when the price is due

Some call it judgment and some call it home

Some look forward for that day when all will fall in place

Yes it will be so special when the day is done

And to be absent from the body and its empty space

To go home where one is wanted, just to be at peace

There to unwind and relax, just to observe Glory,

To sing a song with a thousand words with all of these

Who were counted to be worthy through Jesus Christ our Lord
