Just One More...

Rose,

I know you had to leave

But before you go

could I have just one more

A talk

A meal

A trip

Just one more

A look

A smile

A dance

Just one more

A kiss

A hug

A stroke of hair

Just one more

A moment of time

A week

A year

Just one more

Rose know I'll always want want

Just one more.

Love Always and Forever,

Dave

This was not a poem I created, but a man named Dave Carson made this. Dave Carson recently lost his wife, Rose Carson, and he wrote this beautiful poem for her. Mrs Rose Carson was one of my favorite people and all her freinds and family will miss her until we see her in heaven again.

This tender love letter reminds me of Leonard Cohen's "Dance Me to the End of Love" and Pablo Neruda's intimate love poems, particularly in how you build emotional intensity through repetition. The way you structure each stanza around "Just one more" creates a heartbeat rhythm that grows more poignant with each iteration, much like Cohen's ability to turn simple phrases into profound expressions of love. Your progression from small moments ("A talk, A meal") to larger wishes ("A year") beautifully captures the universal human desire to hold onto love for just a little longer.
