Just My Luck

Location

She jumps at the sound of a car passing by.

She thought it was her guy.

She waits for the truck to pull up,

And it never comes, "Just my luck."

It had been a couple weeks since he came,

His grandma never really let him leave in the rain.

She sat by the door, hoping for a miracle,

But all she got was a text saying, "I'm not clear to go..."

She loves him and doesn't want to lose him,

So it doesn't bother her anymore that he never gets to come over,

Because she knows that he loves her.

She jumps at the sound of a car passing by.

She thought it was her guy.

She waits for the truck to never come,

But she knows they will eventually be home.
