Just Breathe In

Your lungs are collpsing from the feeling of despair,

That feeling inside seems to be too much to bear,

But slowly you breathe,

And time begins to cease,

And you realize just how much worse that it could be,

You have this form of shelter, called a roof, over your head,

You eat every day, things like bananas and bread,

There's even more, beyond these simplicities,

The songbirds, the sunshine, a cool autumn breeze,

So you take a note of this moment,

To remember how you feel,

Knowing that there's more to come,

Things with much more appeal,

You'll experience love, laughter, heartbreak threefold,

Always knowing what you've always been told,

That life is a beauty,

Not to be taken for granted,

Just breathe in fully,

And know your life is enchanted.
