Just Another Day

The nightingale’s wings

Turn upward,

Toward the sun,

And the day has begun.

Waves of yellow,

Orange, and blue

Float on the wind

And dissolve morning dew

Grass turns green

And shows a welcome smile

Sheading the black

Of the grave, grave night

The leaves green colors

And flowers fragrant blooms

Come to life

As the sun shines through

On a day like this,

You think the world

Would grin,

But oh, no!

The troubles of life

Confine them,

Bind them,

And destroy them within.

It kills their happiness.

It brings them strife,

But they’ve brought it upon themselves

For they wouldn’t enjoy life.
