Just Another

Location

Just another jacket flung on the couch,

Just another book on the shelf.

The fire growing ever so warmer in the fire place,

They lay cuddled near its warm embrace.

Just another hour, another day,

Just another snowed in place.

Quiet, silent as a mouse,

They move through the house,

Not wanting to bother the other

As they work as if it is a normal day.

Just another kiss, just another hug.

They can never get enough.

Young lovers from the start,

They will never live apart.

Just another heartfelt “I love you,”

Just another goodnight before they drift away,

Away into the night’s cold embrace

Filled with an endless imagination.

Just another jacket flung on the couch,

Just another book on the shelf.

With this they part

To awaken to a fresh, new world to make their own.
