The Jungle of Struggles

Walking through an abyss of struggles

Surrounded by the midst of pain and defeat

Stepping over the vines of temptation

And nearly landing in the sandpits of destruction

All which attempt to drown me

Into being overtaken by fear and lies from the enemy

We were never promised a life free of pain

But we have authority over darkness in His name

We have found the victory

In the hope of Jesus son of a Nazarene

While on earth Jesus walked through the jungle too

He died for humanity

For me and for you

Everything done in obedience to the Father

He was the lamb that was slaughtered

Never sinning when temptation arose

Never will we have to walk alone

Through his death Jesus made a way for us to come home

Though destruction may come

Pain and defeat may surround

In Christ alone my hope is found

In the jungle of struggle

I have discovered peace

By the grace of God which promises me

Never will I be forsaken

And never will I be unloved

For the Lord of the Universe

Has given us His Son

A once lost and confused jungle I walked

But now I see a way out of the destruction

By the grace exchange from His crucifixion

A light that guides amongst the darkness

Choosing to see joy in the times of confusion

Knowing that his love will dismiss any false illusion

Walking now each step in victory

Because Jesus Christ pioneered the way before me
