The jump

The water crashes against the strong cliff

My feet stay stuck

The water continues to flow

Down the stream, around the bend, off of the side of the rock face

Hesitantly I make my way to the edge

The water mocks me by making waves

The pit in my stomach tightens as I count

One

Two

Three

The leap of faith brings freedom as I crash into the cold body of water

Swimming back to the land brings clarity to my clouded eyes

Nature is now my friend
