Judas Iscariot where are you ... why did you disappear?

You would have been better off ... if you had not been born.

We all remember what you did ... sold Jesus for some money

you wanted Him to rule this world … Holiness to scorn?

We are a lot like that you know … use Jesus to our advantage

to receive treasures we can see … ourselves to adorn.

How much of Judas is in me … more than I can remember

was not my whole life filled with such … until I was reborn?

Every time I sell out or compromise … do I really notice?

Is my conscience so hard … as sharp as a crown of thorns?

Oh Judas! You even healed the sick ... and preached the Gospel

what was it you hungered for … that made you so forlorn?
