Searing red

Lit before all else

Notice it first

 Happiness is born of

Laughter

Sunshine

And grass between your toes

Friends

Family

And the smell of food beneath your nose.

Not born of a single sip

From an insubstantial can.

One might be happy

Even happier

Without it.

No one can

Can dictate

Joy.
