The Journey
The struggle is what makes this such a crazy ride but it has its beauty
Being lost souls—that's our common struggle. In the end pain is what unites
We must think about what inside us ignites
We all need a reality check once in a while
We need to realize what we’re here for
And surely we all know that
It’s to be happy
To feel a burning passion for every breath
And that's all life should be
Picture (not) perfect frames
We’re all in shambles once in a while..or all of the time if you don't know my friend serotonin
See the depression gets you stressing
The goal is to get that melatonin flowing
Am I fat? Am I poor? Am I ugly? Am I a good enough?
Well you are
Simply perfect
Stop imagining scenarios that will never be
And just be
We’re all on this crazy ride and not one will make it out alive
Enjoy that smile while you can
Remember it’s all about the good vibe

I like your poem. You seem to be going into a philosophical train of thought that is both relatable and perhaps necessary. My only question to you is what is the journey? Are you trying to connect the struggle with the journey or are you trying to connect the struggle as a journey? What is beautiful about the struggle to you and how does that relate to your journey? You don't have to answer any of these questions. I just thought this was something to maybe think about as both a poet and a writer. A poet gives us a picture in a brief, quick, and simple form, but a writer builds a picture out of detail. What are you giving us as a reader: the image or the detail?
